ONE TIME PAYMENT FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Today, 1.6 million Canadians with disabilities will be receiving a one-time payment to help with additional costs and challenges they have faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. This payment is being provided to those who have an existing Disability Tax Credit certificate, or are beneficiaries of CPP Disability or one of the disability supports provided by Veterans Affairs Canada.
For those who have not yet applied for the Disability Tax Credit, the deadline to do so and receive the one-time payment has been extended to December 31, 2020.
