It was a pleasure to be with our Minister of Economic Development, Melanie Joly, to announce that the federal government and provincial government in Manitoba are teaming up to invest $400,000 towards securing a domestic supply of personal protective equipment.
The funding will be given to the Orthopaedic Innovation Centre right here in Manitoba, which will use the money to set up a testing facility to ensure that PPE meets proper standards and can be distributed to our frontline workers rapidly.
